In 2012 I shot a decent sized buck from a stand using my suppressor.  After I waited about 5 minutes to make sure he wasn't going anywhere I walked down to him and started field dressing.  A couple minutes later I heard a grunt and turned around to see another buck staring at me from about 25 yards away.  Apparently the shot wasn't loud enough to scare him away, or at least it didn't sound like a gunshot to him.  He had trotted right around the corner and was just as surprised to see me as I was him.
