Title: Invatation From Lee Terry's Campaign
Post by: AAllen on August 19, 2014, 04:39:49 PM
For anyone with the time or desire:  There will be a Gun Owners for Lee meet up this Friday morning at 8:15 at his campaign office at 238 N 114th St.  If anyone has the time and or inclination I plan on trying to be there.  This is not an endorsement of Lee from the NFOA or the NFOA-PAF but simply passing an invitation along.  For those who are not in this district (Congressional District 2), Lee is running against long time Chairman of the Legislatures Judiciary Committee Brad Ashford.

Another little note on this subject, there has been a lot of talk from some people who generally support 2A issues but that is not their primary concern about not supporting Lee this year.  That has made this race very close between Lee and Brad, and Brad actually could win.  These people are unhappy with some of what Lee has said and done (and he has a few big feet in his mouth and questionable votes) and feel that letting a Democrat win this year gives a better opportunity to get a stronger Candidate in Two years, they question what harm could two years of Brad Ashford bring.  Personally that is a bit discomforting with how hard he has fought against our rights, two years could be a long time.

I agree, that is screwed up logic begging for unintended consequences. Who woulda thought Terry would still be in office after 16 yrs? The thought of 'Congressman Ashford' turns my stomach.
