Most likely with a new year's eve party at 11:59:59 on 12/31. If it ends earlier than that, does it really matter?

Well, Skynet did become self aware back in 1997, so I assume we're due for some Cyberdyne Systems Model 101's pretty soon.

Y'all got it wrong.

counting leap years, which came into effect AFTER the Mayan calendar, the world should have ended about 7 months ago.
