Any chance you will let me build a stage incorporating my ideas from last year? It's not a Zombie Apocalypse without some smoke in the background. Or how about a flaming window you have to shoot through? That would be a challenge. You have my permission!

You've got two months to prepare. And then...THE ZOMBIES ARE COMINGI am so ready! ;D
Or how about a flaming window you have to shoot through?
Dude, what are you thinking? We're trying to shoot them, not toast 'em

I think you need an impact weapon stage.....maybe bash a few in the head with a baseball bat, then pick up your firearm and finish the rest off. You could have the "head" be a ball sitting on top of a mannequin, and you have to knock it off before continuing. It sounds like your priorities may be out of wack.
Sadly, this always conflicts with my daughter's annual Halloween party, and there will be a lot of disappointed 9-10 year olds if dad isn't running around in his creepy horse head mask.

If I ever get to attend I am SO bringing the mask, even if I can't shoot it it.
So is this set up like steel challenge?
Option for full auto? ;D
can we use suppressors? especially with our 22LR SBR's?
Yeah, that was my fault last time. Unless the r/o was under a foot from the ejection port, it wasn't getting picked up
Don't know the answer for sure. However there have been issues with 22lr rifles not activating the timers.
Option for full auto? ;D
jthapkido ...nice shooting in the video. A little off this topic.....your premature magazine drops in Stage 2 (I think it was) reminds me of some of those habits we need to be aware/concerned about going from gaming/matches to reality (NOT joining the Shawn camp...with all due respect to him et al at Tactical 88).
It reminds me of when we hosted Ayoob. I recall one lad while I was RO'ing "instinctively" doing a press check EVERY TIME he brought his gun out of the holster. It was quite an interesting thing to behold. I visited with him about it, especially my concern for REAL WORLD and possibility of getting out of battery due to this habit.
For what its worth, I am and still can be guilty of my own bad habits (trying to overcome).....
I wasnt thinking it as being a help for stages, but for fun on a stage. I know the lower pistol bays dont allow full auto shooting.
- Full auto: No. (Can't do that on all stages, and since it is all headshots, that actually wouldn't help you.)
A simple question since I have never done this.
What yardage should I be practicing for the pistol cal. rifle class?
Can someone compete with iron sights?
I have been practicing with my Camp 9 carbine from 10-50 yards, anything more than 50 and my old eyes will need an optic.
Thanks Greg58
I had a 9mm ar. It was meh.
As to the other comments, let me go down the list:
- Smoke: No.
- Fire: Very No.
- Impact Weapons: Tempting, particularly if someone would supply lots of melons, but No.
- Full auto: No. (Can't do that on all stages, and since it is all headshots, that actually wouldn't help you.)
- Belt-fed: Cool, but No.
- Suppressors: Wish we could, but chances are (as JonM said) the timer won't pick it up, and you'll get REALLY LONG times. (Like 300 seconds, which is the max. You won't like that for stage scores.) Technically you can try it, but you probably won't like it.
- Artillery Strikes: No. (What kind of friends do you HAVE? Can you introduce me to them?)
That should cover everything thus far, I believe.
Y'know, I was really excited for this match. Now? I just can't be excited. :(
Alex has the whole check for further threats movement down, I am really impressed, damn professional.
Hey! HEY YOU!
Have YOU signed up for the Zombie Match yet? WHY NOT?
http://precisionresponse.4t.com/Zombie1/ZombieMatch.html (http://precisionresponse.4t.com/Zombie1/ZombieMatch.html)
...the Zombies are coming. Be prepared!
Stages are up! 135 rounds, if you are perfect. Which of course you will be, right?
http://precisionresponse.4t.com/Zombie1/ZombieMatch.html (http://precisionresponse.4t.com/Zombie1/ZombieMatch.html)
...then go to the Stages link, and take a look. (After you pre-register, of course!)
T-shirt orders go in on Monday. There will not be any extras for sale at or after the match. If you want a t-shirt (and you know you do!) get that order in to me ASAP!Do, if any, proceeds from t-shirts sales go to Toys for Tots or is sort of I got a shirt thing?

THANKS!
Not quite 100 yet, so more people need to pre-register! (But it is close...)I'm signed up. Isn't that all that is important?

Also - to make MY life easier (and thus everyone else's) PLEASE pre-register
THAT right there made me laugh.

Yep. It's all about YOU.I can't get Friday off to come and help out, darnit!
...and the Marines Toys-For-Tots Foundation. (More them than you, actually.)
We've got the staff all lined up, registrations have finally broken 100 (More! MORE!) and the stages are designed and ready to go.
On Friday at noon, I'll be out at the range getting the equipment out to the various bays, and getting a start on setting up the stages. If you are bored and have nothing to do, you are welcome to come help out! Last year went outstandingly well, and we got almost all of the stages completely finished on Friday. We only had to adjust a few things on Saturday---and it made the staff's day on Saturday MUCH better, so if you've got time, c'mon out.
(And among other things, it'll mean you'll have extra chances to walk the stages and make your stage plans before shooting on Sunday. :) )
If you haven't already registered, get that done. It's going to be a good time.
Oh---and feel free to donate MORE than just $20 to the Marines. Remember---we aren't keeping any of this. The staff is volunteering their time, and ENPS is volunteering their equipment. So every toy you bring, and every dollar you donate, goes straight to the Marines.
It's a good cause.
I can't get Friday off to come and help out, darnit!
That's okay----we'll be out there until sundown on Friday, to monitor the bays so that no one shoots them up. C'mon out and take a look.I'll try and get out there around 1800. I'm not an ENGC member. Will I have any trouble getting in?

Well, you should remedy that little non-membership issue SOON! :)
Set-up went amazingly well (I "supervised" the manual labor) :)
Pre-registration for the match is closed.
We have well over 100 shooters overall this year, with over 90 registered to shoot on Sunday. This speaks VOLUMES about the caliber of people we have in this area. The Marine's Toys for Tots Program will be getting another great bounty from the match! I will try to get some photos taken while out at the range this weekend to post on the ENPS facebook site (I'll try to post some here, too).
You can still walk-on on Sunday morning, but if you are thinking about doing that, you need to get to the range EARLY. Registration will END at 8:30am.
So since I have pre-registered, and IF I can make it (due to previously communicated family issues), can we show up at 8:31 and still be ok, or do we need to be there early regardless?
Well, you should remedy that little non-membership issue SOON! :)
Before 8:30.
Will there be information about joining the Gun Club available tomorrow?
I have been thinking about it, but I don't know the process. Do I need a sponsor?
Thanks Greg58
....now come and watch the USPSA pistol match next Sunday. :)
