The heavy rains, dam failure and flooding in Eastern Colorado over the past few days WILL affect Western Nebraska, specifically the South Platte River...
Forum members that are in this area or have family in this region should be aware of the potential for flooding...

Those were rains of "biblical proportions" so I'd suspect that we'll see some flooding to North Platte, bank to bank to at least Lexington or Kearney, and high water all the way to the Missouri.

Got this earlier today. That's the new Cabelas that just opened in Denver.

I run my dogs most days within the banks of the south platte. Just a trickle of water there as of yesterday. Right across the road is the iron eagle golf course. It has flooded several times in the past. I would imagine it is about to happen again.

Flooding is at Fort Morgan, which is almost halfway to the northeast border of Colorado. I suspect that flooding will occur in North Platte, and high water with minor flooding all the way to Grand Island.
