This person has just announced he is running for the NRA board of directors, and he's stated publicly that he wants to "compromise" with the anti-gun forces. I don't know about you guys, but I don't consider my rights to be up for negotiation. We need to keep this guy off the board. If you are a life member or above, or you have been a regular member for 5 years, you are eligible to vote in NRA elections. Please help keep Brandon Webb off the board.

reading his own post. he says that we should have to take a APROVED firearms course to be able to buy a gun.
and who will make the judgement as to what is a approved course?

Here's a good post that explains why he shouldn't be elected. Also, it gives some interesting history about the NRA that I haven't heard anyone talk about -- the NRA was pro-gun control for a while -- who would have thunk it?

I would guess we all know the answer to that, with folks like this fella at the helm, the NRA would work it's way into being the "Sole Authority" on such matters.

Hey they still have a former US Senator from Idaho who likes airport bathroom footsie on the board...why should this be any surprise....
-
I don't see the problem - that's been the NRA's way of doing things anyway - he'll fight right in.

I still can't believe that idiot got elected. Him and that Fudd Joaquin Jackson. Goes to show how little attention people pay.

A deer hunter needs only 5 rounds in his hunting rifle, if he is a good shot...
In my hunting days I rarely required more than one round to down the game I was shooting at. Today, however, the "deer" (thugs, either criminal or political) almost always carry large capacity high powered weapons and being limited to 5 round in your weapon may be a death penalty ... for you, regardless of how good a shot you are.

We need more butt kickers like Ted Nugent on the board. Jesse Ventura wants to be President. How about President of NRA?
This is what we need again

For people sitting around the fire of the NRA camp site, and you think the community fire pit is not warming you enough, how about you get out of your bed roll, and put more logs in the fire?
In the past year, I went from a 20 year life member, to Benefactor. My wife went from no membership to Endowment. I also now have most all the NRA Instructor certifications. My wife has Refuse To Be A Vitim Instructor and is working on Basic Pistol Instructor.
If you are not pulling the cart along, or pushing the cart along, be careful about criticizing the speed of the cart, or the direction it is moving.
Gift memberships are also a good idea. I have purchased NRA memberships for relatives, and even one for President Obama.
This is not the time to say the number one 2nd amendment rights organization is not good enough, this is the time to make it better, all of us make it better.

I believe he said "he has a wide stance".
I would prefer a board member with a narrow focused stance.

Not in this lifetime, or until NRA stops meaning Negotiating Rights Away, whichever comes first.
