Looking to fly with my CHP and pistol for the first time and heading to Florida
I've visited TSA website, my airline web site, handgunlaws.us, and the previous post about flying with firearms here on NFOA.

Are there any other thoughts or tips flying/concealed carry in Florida?
Thanks,

When we went a couple years ago I used a gunvault nanovault as both the lockable case for flying as as in-car security for when going to posted areas such as Disney.
Small, inexpensive, comes with a security cable. Can be had from Scheels, Brownells, etc.
Enjoy your trip!

+1. just make sure it aint loaded. I went to Fl recently, no issues. Fill out the declaration form.

One additional thought. After dropping off your luggage, listen to the PA announcements. If for some reason the TSA cant get a clear picture of your bag or it alarms for some reason you may be called back to unlock your case. If you miss the announcement your bag may not fly.

Thank You guys,
I'll be looking for some TSA locks tomorrow.
Looking over rules, it looks like pocket knives might be more controversial. There seems to be some local ordinances limiting to 3". Since our permit is a Concealed Handgun Permit instead of a Concealed Carry Weapon, I"m wondering if that covers us for a 3&1/2" pocket knife. I'll be fine and staying out of places with the knife ordinances. I didn't know we had some local ordinances as well here in Nebraska after looking at it on Handgunlaws.us
Nebraska 28-1201. & 28-1202 Y 3.5" (4) Knife shall mean any dagger, dirk, knife, or stiletto with a blade over three and one-half inches in length or any
other dangerous instrument capable of inflicting cutting/stabbing/ tearing wounds; (Read laws Case Law applies)
Omaha, NE 20-192 & 20-206 ? Unlawful to carry concealed. Permit to carry voids unlawful carry.
Nebraska City, NE 24-89. ? Must have NE Permit to Carry to Carry any Concealed Knife.
North Platte, NE 93.05 ? No weapons of any kind in any park, pathways or other recreation facilities.
South Sioux City, NE 66-377 >4" a weapon concealed on or about his person any knife or edged weapon fixed or folding and a blade length in excess of four inches
