I Know For a Fact That Summa You Guys Went to the Fremont Gun Show........
So-----How was it?
In the past I've enjoyed that show, but last coupla years, it has been:
>Pushing and Shoving and Everything Else in the Crowded Aisles
>Very Pricey for What the Stuff is Worth
>Lotsa Non-Gun Stuff
Instead I went to Guns Unlimited looking for Red Dot in 8# Jugs, which they are Out Of.
What did I miss by not going to Fremont??

That sums it up pretty well... i was going to try and meet shooter but they had no table numbers ???... i did catch some crap for carring a Pink AR around but iy is a good way to start a conversation about cerakote ;D

You missed a like new pre-Remington Marlin 1894 in .45-70 at half the going price.

This was my first time at the Fremont show.
>Pushing and Shoving and Everything Else in the Crowded Aisles
>Very Pricey for What the Stuff is Worth
>Lotsa Non-Gun Stuff
>lots of standing, waiting for people to get to know each other in the middle of the 3' aisle.
Everyone told how much better it was than the Lincoln show.
Walked out of Fremont with a small grocery sack and $40 spent
Walked out of Lincoln with gun, 4 grocery sacks, 12/20 press, and herters sizer. $190
Not sure what to think of it.

I was planning on going....then I realized it was already 330pm yesterday.
I was able to find a quicker/less painful alternative to satisfy my thirst....
I drove one mile to Moeller Sporting Arms & snagged a Ruger SR22!
I wanted it primarily to teach my wife & kids to shoot...
then I realized that I only had 41 rounds of 22LR... Luckily I found a guy on Armslist who wanted to trade & I now have 1,241 rounds of 22! 8)

I heard his place was pretty busy yesterday.

It was a busy place with good conversation....& I only had to 'push' some atm buttons to get a Ruger!

I sat there for 2 days, damn was Saturday busy. I sold a LOT, but also was buying a lot, came home with more than I took, and a big wad of cash. , I took 270 pounds of lead, and it was all sold by 11, sunday took another 200 pounds, and didn't sell any, go figure

I stayed at work, and made money, as opposed to driving to a show, and spending money. I was a good boy.

Were you the tables next to dakota silencers?

Were you the tables next to dakota silencers?
no. I was in the next to last row, on the left side.
wasn't Dakota in the small room?
I had the table with the NFOA flyers on it

Well, FarmerRick, I was gonna have a friend buy that Little Beauty, but then he saw you coming down the aisle behind him and decided to save it for you. Wanted to see the beatific expression on your face when you first laid eyes on it.
Besides, I wouldn't know what to do with it, except maybe lob high arching rounds over the hill onto the reverse slope.

Now there's a Man Who Knows How to Work a Gun Show. Next time, I'm going with him.

Nevertheless, I shoulda gone. There was never a Gun Guy on his deathbed who ever said, "Geez.... I wish I hadn't gone to so many Gun Shows............."

good cause I didn't have any 9mm to sell

I picked up some LP primers and 2 lbs o' Ramshot Competition shotgun powder. I've never loaded it before, in anything, but online chatter indicates it's a reasonably good pistol powder. Burn rate similar to WST.
I'll covertly drop some samples of my first batch into Bullit's range bag and see if they're safe for me to shoot. :)

I went through Saturday afternoon fairly late. There was a couple of powders at a not to bad price but all the primers and shot I saw I can pick up here in Omaha for the same or lower price. Didn't see anything special for guns but wasn't really looking for any that hard. Was a two barrel Browning Trap set for $1,500 that if I needed I might have tried to negotiate down a bit and bought, but I just bought Pink a new trap shotgun combo last summer.

I went and checked it out. Shooter had on a spiffy NFOA t-shirt to go with the leaflets on his table.
I had a nice little chat with our famous Farmer Rick. He was right, the brick of 22 for $45 was the best price I saw there >:D Didn't buy any of that overpriced stuff. I just can't believe people will pay these kind of prices for 22 :o (The wife picked up some 525 packs of Remington while I was shooting Sunday morning: ain't life great!)
I picked a magazine for the wife's Ruger SR-22 pistol. I have a thing about magazines; one can never have too many

wow, being in this group must be improving my image, no one has ever called my clothes spiffy before
