Title: Well ain't that a kick in the pants?
Post by: gsd on March 28, 2014, 08:13:18 AM
Been collecting parts for a rifle build for my cousin, and finally had enough together to get it nearly built.

Most everything went together without a hitch, and then I went to hang the Samson Evo hand guard. It felt loose, so I started looking a bit closer and found this.

Ain't that a kick in the pants? Now I have to send it back, and wait for a replacement.

I have never had an issue like that before, hoping it was just a weak one that snuck past QC.

A couple years back, I bought a Samson Star-M rail lightly used from a guy on ARFCOM. After installing it, I realized that it would not clamp down as tightly on the barrel nut as it should, and would wobble just ever so slightly.  I contacted Samson, they told me "no prblem, we'll take care of it for you" and sent me a UPS return label for me to send it back to them for repair/replacement.

I had a brand new(and solid fitting) rail on my doorstep within about a weeks's time.   8)

Yeah, I went through Midway for this one, it is already headed back to them.

They (MidwayUSA) have to have one of the best customer service teams I have ever interacted with.
