Yes. Very sad indeed.
I'm very interested in how they determined it to not be accidental and the events leading up to it.

Previously had shot his brother with a bow and arrow.  Lots going on there.

Some details were released in court

Ammo, not locked up

Guns not locked up

9 year old had threatened to kill several people in the house

9 year old as a history of attacking people, children, animals. 

Adults in the home, were cautioned to remove all objects that could be used as weapons by the 9 year old.
