Title: Where in the Omaha area to handle a Tavor?
Post by: Hardwood83 on June 24, 2014, 07:46:52 PM
I intend to get an IWI Tavor (16" FDE, if you're really interested). Obviously it would be wise to actually shoulder it first though- anyone know of a stocking dealer in the area?

I fondled one in DSM but DE Guns is the only one I have seen with the Israeli rifle. They are a pretty sweet puppy, for sure. Probably be a couple more years till I pick one up though.

GU was the right answer. Swung by yesterday and fondled their FDE Tavor....and SCAR and ACR. Funny thing is the counter help was really cool and helpful. We chatted for about 10mins. He must be new.

Anyway thanks for the suggestions. I confirmed my intention to get a Tavor. Funny thing about it, holding it at low ready it seems heavy. Once mounted up snug on the shoulder it seems very light and handy. Obviously I haven't fired one, but I like what I've seen so far.
