Title: My NEW S&W Shield 9mm
Post by: DenmanShooter on October 25, 2014, 03:21:09 PM
Yep, it has the safety but I got it for $429 out the door.  Purchased it about 3 weeks ago and hadn't shot it.  I got a DeSantis Dual Carry 2 leather holster that took everything I had to break in.  I tried wax paper method, plastic method, finally just put it in the holster and left it sit.  Slides in out nicely. I added a Pearce Grip extension to the 7 round mag and that works great.

Been too busy to shoot it.  So I had some time this afternoon and went out and did a little work with my 10/22 that was having a feeding issue to see if I could figure that out and did.

Set up some pop bottles filled with water at 21 FEET and only shot 25 rounds and hit every round but 1.

I did not know I could shoot so well.  Fits my hand nicely, little recoil, sights are perfect as they are.  I just love it.

I don't know how I did though, I lost 7 brass.  UGH!  I like to police my brass and I can't believe I lost them.

I am so happy I made this purchase, though.  Turned mediocre into pretty good.  Of course, only 7 yards, but wow for me.

Shoots up a storm, then moans over losing a few pieces of brass.

Which makes him.........A True Fellow Brasshound.

You can always spot us at the range, walking around with our heads looking down.

We'll speak when spoken to.  It's just that we don't look up.

And a Really Good Day at the Range is when you bring home more brass than you took.   Especially .357SIG.

Well, dang it, every piece counts and I hate it when I leave 'em.  :)

I too have the 9-Shield and really like it.  Probably have 1,000+ rounds thru each of them (wife's and mine)...  only 2 failures to feed.

Hey! That's my gun, nope , wrong holster.
Lot's of these out there, and beside the safety alert on the early production, have heard nothing but good about them.

Enjoy.
