As you may or may not know, one of our shooting competition friends, Heather Dougherty, has some very serious unexpected medical conditions and thus some very expensive treatments.
On Sunday December 21, 7–9pm, and Monday December 22, 6-9pm (or whenever we get done both nights), IDPA Nebraska and Thunder Alley Indoor Shooting Range in combination with other sponsors will have an IDPA Match Fund Raiser Event to raise money to help Heather and her family. This will be an event in which ‘everyone’ can participate. IDPA members will be able to log their scores (if they choose to), but the purpose is to come shoot, have fun, raise money and share camaraderie with each other.
Suggested Cash Donation, but not required to participate, is $15.00 first run and $5.00 each additional run if time permits. Any donation will be accepted to participate.
Simple run and gun CoF setup. You will register online (see links below for each event). Score sheet will have checkbox for "Count as IDPA" and "Don't count as IDPA". Thus someone could run through and shoot however they want (aka drop loaded mags, reload while running, etc) but their scores will stand alone and not be ranked with those who choose to be ranked and posted on the IDPA site (if they are IDPA members).
With this combined effort from everyone, we hope you will find time in your Holiday schedule to stop by and shoot for Heather and her Family. A Donation Jar will be available at all times at Thunder Alley.

You will shine, shine, shine on these match designs, Fly!! ;)
The two nights will be different Course of Fire designs, but Lincoln hardware stores and even online retailers have banned me from purchasing any more black spray paint! :P

What time will you be setting up the 21st? I will try to make it there early to help.

Thunder Alley typically closes at 6pm on Sundays, so that would give about 45 minutes to get the CoF set up. I'll take any help from 6:00pm and after.
Thanks!!

Julie is coming to shoot on Sunday. (I'll be there Sunday, too.)
Plug your ears, folks, she's bringing her Open gun. :)
-
I'll try to make it there one, if not both, times.
I might have talked my sister and her fiancé into joining, but they don't have a pistol and aren't interested in shooting my LC9. Would anybody be willing to loan a 9mm if we bring factory ammo for it?

I have a few different 9's as long as they don't mind shooting a big heavy metal gun instead of those newfangled plastic fantastics.

Thanks, I'll let them know. I think their deciding factor is if they are able to shoot something other than my Ruger.

I have a Glock 19 and 34. I also have a XDm in 9mm, but it has a pretty light trigger. That may not be the best for someone that is not familiar with it.
