Title: New toy finished
Post by: RailJockey on May 20, 2015, 08:41:57 PM
Just picked this toy up today. Had it cerakoted and it looks amazing.
Can't wait to go shoot it.   What do you guys think?

Looks really nice; I want one.  I have a question: what is the purpose of the pistol grip on the forend?  I can see how it could be useful on full auto, but to me it looks like it mostly just makes the rifle that much more end heavy.  I've never used one though, and a lot of ARs have them, so there must be some good reason for it besides looking cool.  So what is the reason?  Maybe I'll want one.

I use the pistol grip on the forearm just as a hand stop. I grab the forearm just in front on the grip and use the grip against the blade of my hand. Just another contact point / vice for stabilization.
