Title: Las Vegas is free from handgun registration!

The state of Nevada has passed a stronger state firearms preemption law and it has therefore abolished handgun registration in Clark County which includes Las Vegas.

If Las Vegas can do it so can Omaha! And we will need to make Nebraska Senators aware of this fact when our own Legislative Bill 289 (State Pre-emption of all firearms laws) is debated next year by the full legislature.

It will be interesting to see how this plays out....Unfortunately Bloomberg & his anti-Rights affiliates have collected enough signatures & there is a initiative on the 2016 ballot to Expand Background Checks in Nevada which of course leads to a gun registration... hopefully the citizens of Nevada are wise enough to vote this down even with outside interests dumping millions into ad campaigns.

And, let's not forget our own Star City. Lincoln requires gun shops to register any pistol you purchase within the city limits with the Lincoln Police Dept. whether they inform you of that fact or not!

I thought state law was changed a few years ago to forbid registration if the purchaser has a CHP.

Kendahl you are correct, and generally the dealers are not reporting the sales for those with the Concealed Permit.
