The articles are long but they are well worth the read.

Howinthehell..... do they figure me as "extreme right"?!?!?! "Right" and "Left" on the political spectrum originated in France, with the "Right" supporting the Aristocracy and the "Left" supporting the "Revoloution" ...... the closest thing we have in the US to Aristocracy is ..... The Kennedys, (with the Bushes and the Gores coming in a close second and third!) and I AIN'T for that! .......
...... seems there is a Dire Straits lyric that describes the situation: "The Right become the Wrong and the Left become the Right" (Dire Straits, "Ride Across the River").....

You're right they are interesting articles, though. I think too many of these 'Militia's' as currently constituted are kooks and most of the conspiracy theories espoused in the articles are bunk- the truth is scary enough without inventing guillotine stockpile stories. What should be a concern is that MANY people across the country are stock-piling food & supplies, hoarding ammo and acquiring Gold & Silver, they're not all nut-jobs, some might even be members here ;)
I may not be ready to move to a compound in the Mountains but incredible deficit spending and socialistic govt expansion requires personal preparation and galvanizes group action. 'Change' for it's own sake is chaos.

And they do a great job of it.
They do lump groups like ours into the same catigories as the Militias in these articles and I find that disturbing. (nothing against some Militias).
Wonder if we are on their list of new "radical right wing groups" that have formed over the last year.??? Id love to see the "list"

I really like how they criticize the Oathkeepers. You really have to keep a close eye on people who swear to protect the Constitution. Darn Right Wingers!

I was thinking the same thing. So anyone who believes in the Constitution is a right wing extremist? Count me in.

Wow SPLC lists Chick Publications in their "General Hate" category. I remember seeing their little cartoon tracts when I was a kid. People in church would hand them out like candy. They're a little over the top, but since when is trying to save souls considered hate?
They also list anti- illegal immigration groups as hate groups too... does SPLC actually have any credibility with anyone outside of the radical left?

In a word- No - they don't have any credibility at all, so of course they are the go to for the media in all things 'hate' related.
Regarding Chick tracts- telling people they are going to hell without Christ is not tolerant, inclusive or diverse enough for the SPLC.
