 I thought I had posted here. My brother  lives in the parish just to the east of the one he is in. he was a captain in sheriffs dept. he is now running  for sheriff in November, Brother says everyone down there really likes the guy and he is expected to win by a huge margin

He looks to me like he'd make a good sheriff.  You can expect the liberal press to wage one of its famous hate campaigns against him, and it is likely that they will fail.  Maybe President Trump (or Cruz) will give him a job in the Attorney General's office.
