Title: Anyone try a pistol 80%?
Post by: RobertH on December 20, 2016, 07:14:38 PM
i've done a couple of AR 80% lowers, but I was wondering if anyone has done a Glock or 10/22 80% lower?  i see Polymer80 has a Glock version.

anyone do one?  results?

I kind of want too. But hard to justify and I like gen4 mag releases.

ha!  i don't have any Glocks.  not really a fan either, but its something else to play with.

stock 10/22 parts seem kind of easy to come by, but the jig and 80% lower is fairly expensive.

Just dive in and get a 2011 and finish it out.  Receivers start at 250 with no fixture.

I'm all about the glocks. I would love to build a 34 with a decked out slide but it wouldn't be legal in certain competitions. So it kind of kills it for me.

I dig the Polymer80 frames, but holy hell are they expensive to finish.  Glock parts aren't cheap.

Agreed, it's definitely not a financial decision. I still plan to get one when the G19 frames come out.
