Title: anyone interested in a tactical carbine course?
Post by: wallace11bravo on April 18, 2010, 02:17:34 AM
This is just a feeler. I wouldnt start doing it for another year. It would be free of charge except range fees and ammo. It would be either at a custom range near nelson, NE(or if i can find the land, near lincoln)

the class wouldn't be anything revolutionary, mostly just food for thought for the experienced shooter. It is designed to be more of a discussion than instruction. The range is custom designed and built by myself. steel targets for >50m, paper for <50m. any comments, crituques, or thoughts on the curriculum are welcome.

general curriculum:
day 1:
safety brief
assault rifle theory
basic employment
malfunction, transition, and reload drills
basic and advanced CQM
basic CQB
CQM in low light environments
day 2:
advanced CQB
operations in urban terrain (discussion)
day and night live fire exercise
AAR
day 3:
long range engagments (100m-800m)
tactical operations (discussion)
day fire exercise
AAR

not that they are overly impressive but my credentials are as follows:
6 years US Army Infantry SSG/E-6
15 months Iraq
12 months Afghanistan
School of the Gun Instructor
Force Recon CQB class graduate
5th group CQB class graduate
10th group CQB class graduate
CQB/CQM Certified safety/instructor
LRM class graduate (taught by certified sniper instructors)
4+ years of training soldiers on every aspect of warfare(what good fireteam leaders do)

to be honest i wasnt expecting much of a response. didnt think many people in nebraska would be interested.

courses will start in fall 2011. I have 3 different courses planned. email me at wallace11bravo@yahoo.com if you wish to see the course details.

I will be posting a schedule next summer, but i am starting the tenative list of clients now. it is first come first serve basis. again, email me if you wish to be put on the waiting list(it is not a commitment, an you wont pay anything to be put on the list)

Each class must be no more/no less than 4 personnel. I cant allow more than that because i feel it would compromise the training value. The fees mostly serve to pay for training aides, targetry, and labor to set up and run the course. Im doing this because I enjoy it.

Tactical Operations for the Carbine Operator-3 days- $100
(very extensive course reccomend being in good physical and mental condition)

Carbine Operators Course-2 days- $50
(cut down version of the previous, still quite extensive)

Custom Course-1 day-$25
(Client(s) choose course curriculum from a list)

As well, if any members know of land for sale or rent near lincoln that can accomodate an 100m x 800m shooting range. please let me know. otherwise the classes will be near nelson, NE
