Title: September 27, 1869?
Post by: NE Bull on September 28, 2010, 11:20:11 AM
This was actually posted at work, on one of their interesting facts board (posted in an attempt to get us to read the non-interesting crap board).:

September 27, 1869: Wild Bill Hickock quells a riot at John Bitter's Beer Saloon in Hays Kansas, by a 'lethal injection of lead into the cranial region' of Samuel Strawhun.  Adhering to the adage of "Speak softly and carry a bigger caliber". ;D

(Thought it was a good one, coming from some of the sheeple in the front office.)

I wonder if Wild Bill was investigated for improper use of lethal force, had his weapon taken in for evidence, had to hire the JMD of his time, and was unable to purchase a replacement weapon??

Just sayin, Greg58

I just saw JMD on the news today, apparently he is a friend of the young man shot at Creighton Hospital this morning.
He really has a nose for publicity, and seems to have a hotline to the TV newsrooms.
