Who can volunteer to help out?
The NFOA and the Eastern Nebraska Gun Club will be working together at Cabelas for a "Friends of the NRA" event. We will be sharing a table at the entrance of Cabelas in La Vista this coming weekend, the 4th, 5th and 6th of February.
We will be working together to sign up new members for both the NFOA and the NRA. Tickets to the Friends of the NRA banquet will also be sold.
This is a great opportunity for us to:
- show how the NRA and State level organizations complement one another.
- Make the NFOA's accomplishments known.
- Educate the public on current legislative issues, and our position on those issues.
- Let people know about our upcoming "Lobby the Legislature" Day.

Thanks for everyone that has volunteered so far. I have updated the first post with the schedule to show who which time slots have volunteers and where we still need help.
I will be dropping off materials in the morning and will try to coordinate picking up the materials each evening.
I will be there when I can Saturday morning and Sunday, even though my name isn't on the schedule.
Who can help fill the holes in the schedule? We have a great turnout so far, just a little more and we can have excellent coverage for this.
-
I can stay on Sunday til it ends Rod. I have a few things I need to pick up while there (and I'm sure I'm not the only one :) ), but nothing that cant wait until after 6.

i just got home from spending a few hours there. the NRA guys were from the ENGC and they signed up quite a few people (including me) and i signed up about 8 people. some people took our flyers so hopefully we'll get some to sign up later. the NRA/ENGC guys were pretty cool. we talked about stories and they were pretty good about throwing it over to me after they got their memberships.
-
Thanks for helping Robert. I'm glad you had a good time.
-
Good to meet you Robert, and the fellas from the NRA and ENGC. We had some great conversations not only amongst ourselves and customers. Got a few folks signed up. Had to leave at 3 to get kids from school, hopefully traffic picked up, the NRA guys were doing a bang-up job pushing our little group.
If things work out, I may be able to help out Sunday (footbal not my thing really).
-
Good job guys, glad to hear the NRA was helping us out.

Good job guys, glad to hear the NRA was helping us out.
Stopped in again today (was in the neighborhood) Not sure why, the ENGC/NRA guys (who are BTW all NFOA member now too) were signing folks up before I could even get a word in. This is turning out to be a pretty good deal for us, getting quite a few signatures and our name out there.
-
Where were they set up at? I was hoping to get some info on ENGC, but didn't see anyone this afternoon. ???
-
The ENGC web site is at this URL.

I was there from 10 to 4 ..... we ran out of literature/brochures, which were very nicely done, btw....... a pretty slow day at Cabela's, though, being SuperBowl Sunday. The NRA guys from ENGC were great......
-
JimP, great to meet you! I will try to make it a point to get more involved!
-
So..... how many members are we up to now?
-
Thanks to everyone who helped out this weekend. Looks like Saturday was the busy day and the others were light. Either way, good job guys. Thanks so much for helping out. I hope everyone had a good time.
I counted the signup sheets and we got 110 new members this weekend. Also received a $10 donation Saturday.
