Monkyboy and I talked on the phone tonight and are going to make it. Should be worthwile for sure. We are going to the Ike's get together too.   8)

Not sure if I'm going to the get together at the Ike's yet.  I'm taking my CCW class the day before and I've been spending an awful lot of time away from home lately, so it depends if my wife wants to come with.

Time: From 9:00 to 11:00
Room 1113 Nebraska State Capital, Lincoln, NE

We will meet up at the reserved room and hand out some info to everyone and a few Senators and the AG will stop by to say hello.  If people need help finding their Senators office we will help them with that then we will send everyone out to speak to their Senator.  We will also take up some space in the Gallery at some point and see if the Speaker will recognize us.

Dumb question?

A pocket knife with a blade less than 3.5" is not even considered a knife under state law. So, can one carry a small pocket knife in the capitol building?

dan,  i don't know if i would test the waters for our first lobbying day.  maybe call or ask someone beforehand.

and i think ill be there, but ill have to leave early for work.

Andy: Thanks for organizing Lobby Day, hope we do it again next year.

It was good to hear from the Senators and Attorney General.  Too bad more of the Senators couldn't stop in to greet their constituents.

All of the members need to get busy and start their letter writing campaigns to get the word to their Senators their position on the various bills before the Legislature.

Are you going to (have you already) post a copy of the NFOA's position on the 2011 bills?
