Title: Ruger LCR .357
Post by: lefty on March 26, 2011, 01:01:30 PM
Does anyone own a Ruger LCR?  Getting interested but would like some feedback.  I have some other Rugers and all of them are good firearms.  Curious about the LCR.  Thanks

i have the 38 special one.  its fine and a great pocket pistol, but you will feel all of the recoil, especially in +P loads.   :)

i read an article about the 357 in G&A awhile ago.  IIRC they liked it, but also mentioned the felt recoil.

I own a LCR in .38 Special +P. I carry the firearm often and have app. 100 rds. fired through it.
It does have a pretty good kick with the +P loads, to be expected with such a light short barreled gun.
The grip of this gun does a good job of absorbing much of the kick from.
The light weight of this firearm is one of the reasons that influenced my purchase.

No regrets from this purchase and would purchase again.

I have a buddy who loves his in .357 Mag.  He hasn't complained about the recoil.  It's not a gun your're going to take to the range and shoot all day long.

I think I know of someone who has one for sale here in Omaha.  Not sure he still has it.  If you're looking at used, shoot me a PM.
