Title: Wow what a moron

Not only does he shoot himself in the arse, but he wounds a fellow officer.  Then to top it off he drops his weapon on the floor in front of inmates and then limps off.

Hmmm, I dont know.  AD's happen, they are rare and are usually the result of someone's inattention or stupidity, but sometimes not (even more rare). 

As for the rest, yeah, walking away from the weapon in a room full of prisoners was not just dumb, it was dangerous.
