Res. that we, the City Council of the City of Omaha, do hereby declare, the week of May 20-27, 2011, as Harmony Week In Omaha – A City United, Working Together To Reduce Gun Violence – see attached. ((PUBLIC HEARING TODAY – CAN BE ADOPTED TODAY))

Any ideas on how the NFOA could "participate"??    ;D

Well, It's just a thought, but if they are going to have the youth of Omaha "lay down any weapons" I say we need a representative there to "pick up any weapons" that may be of value and use.  ;)  >:D 8)

Well, here we go again...  ::)

A "Community Pledge for Peace"    ???

I'm sure this will work just as well as all the rest of these efforts.

This will have about as much effect as candlelight vigils do.  A way for people to feel like they're doing something for a cause without actually doing anything.

Reminds me of this:

"Tell (family members) it's time to put down the guns." Oh man, why didn't I think of that?  :o
