I'll be wandering around saturday morning, say HI if you see me(NFOA Shirt and LaRue hat).
-
I'll be over after the cmp shoot.
-
$6 wrist bands for the die-hard that want to do both days.
I will be there with my NFOA t-shirt on.
-
is this a good show?

is this a good show?
Define "good"

to me good = reasonably priced items, variety. really not into the black powder gig, so it 90% of the show was dedicated to black powder, it wouldn't be worth my time and gas money to get there. case in point, the fremont show i found is pretty high priced on ammo and guns vs. the ft. calhoun was fairly cheap on them.
-
You sir have answered your own question, but deals can be found and I for one am looking for particular items and I am willing to pay more to get it now and inspect it with my own eyes. Damn this old gun collecting hobby.
-
The NFOA will be next door at the Lincoln Womens Expo, bring the wife and daughter and visit both shows.
-
y'all gotta stop doing these on the last weekend of the month. I'm again out of town as this is my usual duty weekend.
dammit:)
-
is this a good show?
It's getting a little better and bigger every year. I would say it is about 15-20% black powder related at most.
I think it ads to the atmosphere as you don't see someone dressed like Davey Crockett every day. 8)
As stated above, you never know what you'll find. Last year I got a barely shot Saiga in .223 for quite a bit less than current new prices. Most times I find too many deals.
-
I never thought about it until now, but doesn't it seem strange that you can have a gun show at a place that doesn't allow guns inside? At least, the place was posted last time I was there.
-
There was some discussion about that last Fall at the Gun Show being held there. There were a few open carrying there.
-
It's not the place that prevents CCW, it is the show promoters
-
my brother and i just drove by the show around 1330. there are cars parking on the grass. the women's expo and gun show are having a huge turnout. but i couldn't go to the show since i have to run out of town.
-
I think i will be back in town first thing in the mornign tomorrow, may have to go look over whatever is left.
-
Real good crowd in there. There are still a few interesting guns left.
Chinese Type 53's ~ See Terry(The AK/Mosin guy) He had 4 and they are Century imports. Not sure when these were allowed to come into the country again, but he has them. Pretty rough on the outside, supposedly nice on the inside. Around $200 ea.
A few other assorted Mosin rifles. Seen a Sako, a Hungarian or 2, plenty Russians and a few others I can't remember.
Exeter Arms has their usual 10 tables of Goodness. Be sure to tell Hope that she's not working hard enough... ;)
Need a Colt Woodsman pistol? One table has about 30-40 of them.
At least 20 tables of different types and quality levels of knives. Lots of mil-surp clothing and related items.
I got there at about 9:15 and had to wait in line 15 minutes to get in, most people I've ever seen in there... that's a good thing. Pretty good show altogether.
-
Maybe the Women's Expo and Gun show on the same day is really a good idea! The ladies were talking about gettting someone to do a childcare in between!!
@ Rick- I waited, but you never showed! ;)
-
From the pics I seen on Facebook, the ladies seemed to be plenty capable of keeping you in line.
I had my hands full already walking out of the show.
I found a bit of ammo. ;)
My arms felt like they were an inch or so longer by the time I got out to my car.
