She was lucky it was "just" a .22. Now if it would have been a more common self defense round I don't think that article would have been that upbeat. Unfortunate but the past is the past and nothing can be done now. Guarantee he checks every gun from now on

Before Iowa went CCW for everyone, .22lr even with optics was allowed for the CCW class for qualification shooting.

I can't help but wonder if things wouldn't have been handled differently if deputies hadn't been involved...
