Title: open carry in lincoln
Post by: bones1014 on March 16, 2012, 07:26:06 PM
Has anyone tried it?  If you did how receptive was the public and the police?

Oops!  Looks like I put this in the wrong area.

Knowing our Public Safety Director's views on firearms I'm guessing you'll get a lot of unwanted attention.

Personally, I've never understood open carry.  The last thing I want to do is draw attention to myself.

Considering the gunphobic people of Lincoln, I would say be ready to talk to the police and suggest that you practice your calm, soothing voice.  Some time ago a NFOA group organized an open carry lunch at Paul's BBQ.  If you are going to do it, I would make it a group effort.  It seems to me the police would be more likely to give an individual grief as opposed to a group.
