Its that time of the month again. Matches at Lincoln Ikes start at 8:00 AM with sight in for the VMRM and the 22 CMP Sporter to follow around noon. Hey it might not even rain this time! Hope to see you there. As usual if you are new check out the Ikes updated web site for information on the shoots and directions to the range.

I loaded up a bunch of 7.62x54R tonight, so this time I can bring the Finn and hopefully redeem my poor showing with the Enfield last time. It's funny how the Enfield is actually a more accurate rifle but I just don't shoot it as well.

I am actually out of ammo for the mauser, so no shooting for me this time. I might stop out tho, nothing else going that i know of...

I would like to participate in one of these sometime. There is a Swss Rifle match at Eastern Nebraska Gun Club that same day however. Hitting paper a 300m with old military rifles ;D

My son & I showed up at last month's Vintage Military Rifle match at the Lincoln Ikes & we had a great time!
We didn't get to meet everybody but those that we did were more than helpful & welcomed us to the event.
We're not able to make it this month :( but certainly plan to return this summer for another go around.
The toughest decision is which Finn to bring along 8)
Hope y'all have a fun & safe time!!

Is that Swiss Match open to any surplus rifle or just Swiss ones?
We only shoot at 75 meters, but on reduced size targets.
If anyone is interested in shooting either the vintage match or the .22 CMP let me know. I have loaner rifles, you bring the ammo and you can shoot my gun. I think I have one of my .22's already spoken for, but there's one left, and I think Jesse will have some loaners too.

It it open to Swiss rifles. This could be a SIG 556, K31, 1911, and theoretically even a vetterli. The matches are essentially postal matches sanctioned by the SSV.
