Title: sight pusher
Post by: HuskerXDM on May 19, 2012, 12:22:35 PM
Looking for someone that might have a sight pusher.  I have a newer Glock 17 and the sights are slightly off (don't say it... I've shot it right handed, from a bench, and had a left handed shooter try it... they all come out the same... shoots left in all situations).  So anyway, if anyone happens to be willing to help a guy out, I'm a member at Ikes and would appreciate a few minutes of your time.  If you aren't a member I'd spring for your $10, all-day pass.

Thanks!

HUSKERxdm.............  is right on.

Because.............My new Ruger Slab-Sided MKIII .22LR does the very same thing.    From the bench, shoots nice, tight groups centered about 1" left at 21 feet.   [Rear sight is dovetailed; won't respond to light taps w/my plastic bullet puller.]

This thing appears to be an epidemic!!!!   Maybe the Brady Folks have planted moles on the handgun assembly lines.   You know....Gun Shoots LEFT!!!

And I just can't bring myself to using Kentucky Windage.    Violates all ingrained USMC instincts and learned behaviors.

Maybe NFOA should invest in a community sight-pusher.   We could form a tool co-op for bigger ticket items like chronographs, really good spotting scopes, odd-ball caliber reloading dies, canisters of rare powders in large quantities, and.....rear sight pushers.    We could call it Andy Allen's Rent-All Shooter Stuff.

I have a Glock sight pusher, live in the Lincoln area, but will not be back in town until after Memorial Day.  Be happy to help you otherwise.  Yes, I have a had recent Glock with the sights slightly "off center"

bullit, I might just take you up on that... my schedule opens up nicely after this week (I'm a teacher) so it is unlikely I'd have a lot of time before Memorial Day anyway..
