Title: LB430 Hearing Plans

Have taken off work for the afternoon, hope others will do the same!

From the front page:

LB430 Christensen- CCW preemption, reciprocity, time limit to issue permits within 30 days, military residency change, add provision for church security.

Update: Hearing Scheduled!

I'm pretty sure I will be there, but I'll be flying solo as Kim's firm is still buried in tax returns.

My intent is to be there.  Wednesday afternoon is going to be tougher than if it was Thursday afternoon; I was hoping that it would be the latter.  Will try to work on my schedule, though!!

From the NE legislative hearing schedule, it appears that LB430 is fifth on the list for Wednesday, March 11.  I wonder if they will actually get that far on the list that day, or if it will spill over into the next day:

• LB97 Lautenbaugh: Change provisions relating to foreign corporations and provisions and penalties relating to certain sex offenders
• LB15 White: Require driver's license and Internet address information as part of sex offender
  registration
• LB496 Fulton: Authorize enforcement of traffic control signal violations by automated traffic
  enforcement systems
• LB671 Pirsch: Provide powers and duties and change membership of the Nebraska County Attorney
  Standards Advisory Council relating to death investigations
• LB430 Christensen: Amend the Concealed Handgun Permit Act and state the power of cities and villages with respect to firearms

That's what I am worried about, Aldo.

My daughter and I will still be there regardless.

Is there any interest in having a get together somewhere afterwords, and if so, is there anyone local that could recommend a gathering place?

I'd be interested in any get-together before or after the hearings, as long as it doesn't run too late.  I need my beauty sleep.  :o
