Better than bailing is to hit the feedback link at the bottom the page and let them know their loss.

These guys live on data collection. A huge response would show a loss of participation they could not justify to shareholders.

I did several firearm-related searches on shopping.google.com today.  They all returned thousands of results.

Did you click "Shopping" in the upper left after your google search? That is what they disabled.

It is being phased out across all their servers.  It will take a bit of time to completely remove.  If you search on this, some can search these items and some can't.  I was able to search shopping two days ago, and yesterday I could not.

Plus - just read their (Google's) response.

Changed my homepage from Google to Bing and left Google feedback. Honestly I didn't use it much, but this is completely unnecessary.

I heard about a new search engine that values your privacy and does not spy on your searches. I have now switched my homepage from Google to:

https://www.startpage.com/ (https://www.startpage.com/)

Lol, it says "enhanced by Google." the overlords at Google cannot be avoided!

Seriously, though, try Bing.com (http://www.bing.com) or DuckDuckGo.com (http://www.duckduckgo.com)
