As they say at the rodeo, "that's a neuuuuuw state recorrrrd." ;D
Seriously, though, good job to the folks at the NSP.

Seriously??
Waiting on day 15 here, I would be extremely pleased if it came that early

Just got my permit today in the mail. I took the class with Chris Z on June 24th and applied Wednesday the 27th. I also had to return a week later to prove my residency, making for what I would assume to be a delay.
18 days for me as well, that is awesome

They are asking for proof of residency now?????

They are asking for proof of residency now?????
I've been living in Lincoln for over 15 years, I was surprised myself
To be fair though, I did move a couple months ago if that makes any difference

I was not asked for it.
I applied right behind lneuke. I got mine today as well.

I applied July 2nd ...... 14 days and you guys have me checking the mailbox twice a day now!
-
Jim P.
Is that for a renewal?
-
I received mine after 14 days, so yeah expecting it early is reasonable.
-
16 days.
Such an improvement over 5 years ago!
-
Applied for my renewal Monday. I'll advise when it arrives. The lady said it should take two weeks.
-
The problem JimP is your renewal BY STATUTE is 5 business days...... Same for you Waltherfan
-
Bullit- Mine was not a renewal: I'll say it again, though I am not terribly proud of it ...... I was a bonehead and let my permit expire ..... and it had been expired by 10 days before I noticed it.
That cost me and extra $200 or so bucks, and no Carrying for 2 months or so while I got another class lined up and the permit reissued...... Live and learn.
The worst part about it was that my lovely wife reminded me in January that I needed to renew it before May..... and I put it off ...... and then in May when I noticed, she got to say, "I told you so!"

I mentioned the 5 day rule to her. She wasn't impressed. She said "Yours doesn't expire for two months, what's your hurry". I figured there was nothing to be gained by giving her a hard time and she was in no position to fix the problem. From the look she gave me, I think she'd heard it before.

You're not in a hurry per se, but she/they need to be so as TO COMPLY WITH THE LAW !!!! Alas, probably right on you weren't going to gain anything.......
