Stacy raised his gun, fired, and landed one hell of a shot – by his estimate “a good 165 yards” – with a pistol (we do not know the make or caliber at this time). Stacy wasn’t even sure if he could make the shot at that distance: “I hope this magnum bullet’ll hold up, you know, this distance. And sure enough it did and I hit him in the thigh.”
:o :o :o 165 yards, multiple hits, with a .357 magnum

I wonder if he gives lessons? :-X :-X :-X

I know there are some guys that hunt with handguns (scopes and all), but isn't there a rifle that uses the .357mag cartridge? Perhaps this is misreported some how? Either in distance or in the type of gun? I mean 165 FEET is a heck of a shot much less YARDS!

FYI: Very doable, After some practice, I have shot consistant 150+ yard silhouettes with an old S&W 28.
AND... if his 'magnum'; happened to be a long barreled .44 - more than capable of consistant 165yrd shots.

Well color me impressed. There's no way I'm making that shot with a handgun. That's got to be the short gun equivalent of a sniper shot -- especially with iron sights. Nice shooting.
Do you give lessons? :)
