Was looking in my dad's old footlocker and found this bayonet. It looks like it is WWII era (stamp says 1943), but does anyone know what gun it might fit?

I still need to buy a Garand. Not because I think I'll shoot it that much---but every shooter should have a Garand in the safe. No, it isn't logical---but they should anyway.
Plus, they are weirdly fun to shoot. Every once in awhile, a couple of the guys shoot their Garands at a Multigun match. :)

Regardless of the gun this is intended for, what is strange about this bayonet is its length. It is probably around 18 inches long. It looks more like a mini sword-bayonet than a knife-bayonet.

That is nice. AFH was American Farm and Hoe. That is the original length for those bayonets. Bayonet doctrine had called for long blades like that back in WWI and earlier. Into WWII production, many of the blades were cut down to 10 inches and provided with new scabbards. That should fit a Garand.
There is a premium for uncut examples. Yours isn't quite as nice as some I've seen around, but the very clean examples sell for around $300. Most seem to sell between $150 and $250 depending on condition.
