This was stolen from my vehicle between 1am and 2am on 1/20/2013 in downtown Lincoln. The serial is TC4574. It was in a IWB holster that was also stolen. There arent going to be too many of these on the streets so if you see one PLEASE make sure its not mine. Gun shows, classifieds, pawn shops, anywhere please let me know. I only had this gun a week and would gladly offer a cash reward for information leading to its return. If you have information my cell number is 308.379.0354. If you locate it, dial 911 and let the police do the work.
If you or someone you know has property around downtown Lincoln or UNL please forward this to them. It could have been ditched in a dumpster or line of bushes in the area.
Thank You.

Gun prices Have gone up!!!!
You must be Heartsick about it. A purchase of a Lifetime.....................
Home insurance won't cover, most likely. But............if you are an NRA member, I vaguely recall that you will have some kind of automatic firearms insurance with them. You can check it out. I think it's around $2500, or so.
Good luck on the recovery part.

Are you going to go to all of the pawn shops in Lincoln? Do perps keep these for the underground market, or do they sell them off at pawn shops?
-
Not sure if this would do any good, but you could check out http://www.hotgunz.com (http://www.hotgunz.com).

Unfortunately i live in grand island so not until next weekend. I just ordered 500 business cards to hand out at the gun show. Im hoping that having "$500 reward" across the top will get attention.

Don't know if it is on its way out of the state, but it's worth posting there, just in case.
IIRC a lot of the guns stolen from Scheels a couple years ago have showed up all over the place...

A suggestion from another forum...
Has your friend checked local or state wide online gun classifieds? Not sure how many LGS and pawn shops are in youre area but a quick face to face with the workers and some pics will go a long way.

On Monday I took the afternoon off of work and went to every pawn shop I know of in Lincoln and Grand Island and gave out business cards that I had made with model, serial, description, LPDs number, my number, etc. Most conveyed that they didnt need the card because they report purchases to the police. One got snotty with me and handed the card back and said "there is nothing we can do for you." I was getting tired of explaining that even if they dont purchase it, they could come across it, take a picture of the individual, and end up with $500 in their pocket. It was a pretty discouraging afternoon to say the least.
If anyone in the Lincoln/Omaha area has an effective means of distributing the business cards I would be happy to supply them. I live in Grand Island but travel to Lincoln quite a bit. Im going to see about setting up a flyer and pile of cards at the entrance to the gun show in Lincoln this weekend if they will let me.
-
Do you remember who got snotty with you? i would like to inform them they will no longer receive my business if they are unwilling to help a fellow gun owner locate his stolen property.
-
I wont mention it by name but its located at 27th and Randolph.
