Post by: blind_hunter on January 27, 2013, 04:39:04 PM
Is a funeral home considered a place of worship for purposes of CCW in NE?

Any place where prayer is offered is a place of worship.   Like praying that the red light will change to green.

However, such is not the primary purpose of a funeral home and not what is meant in NAC 272, Ch. 21, Section 18.

In a funeral home, worship is a secondary purpose.   Look for No Gun posting on the door.   None such, go on in.   While discreetly packing.   Very discreetly.   It's a Very Sensitive Time and Situation.

As long as it's not posted. I'm a pre-mortuary student so I have looked into this.

That's a pretty broad definition SFG... I know several of us docs would be unarmed in our practices should that be applied so literally....  :)
