Title: Here's How BerrysBullets is Handling the Situation.........
Post by: SemperFiGuy on February 05, 2013, 04:49:03 PM
From BBts. Website, Front Page:

DUE TO OVERWHELMING DEMAND WE'RE NOT ABLE TO TAKE ANY MORE ORDERS UNTIL WE CATCH UP.   CURRENT ORDERS ARE 6-8 MONTHS OUT, WE'RE WORKING 24/7 TO CLEAR OUT THE CURRENT ORDERS AND AS SOON AS WE HAVE CAPACITY WE'LL MAKE THOSE PRODUCTS AVAILABLE ON THE WEB.
[Their red color print, not mine.]

How's about Them Apples!!!

My last order came back, April delivery.

With the great shooting range shortage, just where on God's Green Earth is everybody shooting this stuff, or is it just going into storage, next to the Safe Queen handguns???

Makes me really glad I cast.  I'm willing to put up with the mess so I can still go shooting.

I'm posting this as a somewhat comical aside to the topic at hand. Having used Berry's bullets for quite some time I decided to see if the local Cabela's had any in 45 acp. There was one box of 250 - 230 ball on the shelf, at approx. $ 31.00 or 32.00, which I carried to the checkout counter.  At the checkout counter the price changed to $ 45.00. Upon questioning the clerk I found that she decided that the price was $33.00. I said I'd take them.  Opps. The price changed to $38.00.  After contacting the " manager" the customer service (?) person said that the best they could do was $38.00.  Not being destitute I left without the mdse.,  without ever knowing the final price and laughed all the way home.   Don't know if they decided to sell the bullets, or what the firm price was.

Price on the shelf for those was on sale for $42.99 last week.

I saw that the .45 230 gr were in the wrong spot on the shelf though

Poorman: definitely comical hehehehe.

Panic buyers are fickle creatures.  Glad I'm not one of them.

As the saying goes with why I concealed carry... better to have and not need, than to need and not have.

Ample reloading supplies (or ammo) falls under the same category hehehe.

PhilK directed me to Montana Gold Bullets (http://www.montanagoldbullet.com (http://www.montanagoldbullet.com)) in another thread. I picked up 1000 .40 JHPs for $166, and 1000 .45 JHPs for $204. Reviews of the bullets have been very positive. I haven't put any together myself yet...

I've heard good things about Montana Gold, but haven't tried them myself yet.

Post a review in the reloading section of the forum :)
