Title: Lincoln, NE Friends of NRA Banquet May 8th
Post by: bkoenig on March 13, 2013, 05:21:27 PM: The Lincoln Izaak Walton League is hosting a Friends of NRA banquet on May 8th at our clubhouse east of Lincoln, just off of Highway 2 & South 134th St (address is Bennet, NE). Friends of NRA is an event used to raise money to promote the shooting sports - 50% of all money raised is used for projects within the state, and the rest is used on a national level. As an example, last year the NRA funded a new overhead baffle project at our rifle range in Lincoln that will prevent an errant shots from going over the berm. We couldn't have completed this project without the NRA's assistance.

Tickets are $25 and include a meal catered by Famous Dave's as well as admission to the auction and entry into the door prize drawings. We'll be giving away and auctioning several rifles, pistols, shotguns and other outdoor related items. In addition to buying a ticket, you can choose to support the NRA by becoming a sponsor. Sponsorships range from $250 to $5,000, and you will receive a tax writeoff in addition to a sponsor gift. For example, at the $1250 level you can take a $1000 writeoff on taxes and you will receive a Keltec PMR-30 .22WMR pistol.

How long will you have to wait to collect the PMR-30? :)

I'm pretty sure they have them in stock right now.
