Title: Volunteers Needed for G&P Workshops

Christy Christiansen is a full time outdoor educator with Game and Parks and has some upcoming events with shooting sports for women and kids that they need some volunteers.

If you are interested in helping, you should contact Christy and let her know what you want to do to assist.

Becoming an Outdoors Family
Events needing volunteers are: fishing, outdoor cooking, shotgun, rifles, and archery
Women’s Summer Shooting Series PRSP Wednesday night’s 6-9.
Each week they focus on something different. She needs more assistance in handguns as is looking for people willing to bring their collection and let the ladies shoot them.

I exchanged a few emails recently with Christy Christiansen, while getting my volunteer sessions scheduled. 

She is still looking for some volunteers, primarily for the Women's Summer Target Shooting Series at Platte River State Park, on Wednesday evenings, May - August.

From my discussions with Christy, you can volunteer for one session, or more if you're interested, and you can specify what program you'd like to work with.  They will be shooting bows, .22 rifles, handguns, muzzleloaders, and shotguns, at different times during the summer.  This is a good opportunity for NFOA to partner with Nebraska G & P.

It also looks like a good opportunity for any interested ladies to get some inexpensive instruction in any of those shooting disciplines.  There are still participant vacancies for most of the Wednesday evening programs.
