Title: Has the legislative branch lost its way?
Post by: GreyGeek on March 21, 2013, 02:19:13 PM
When a department of the government created by  Congress refuses to answer questions posed by Congress and Congress does nothing then we need a new group of representatives setting in those chairs.  Ones which recognize their  Constitutional authority and aren't afraid to hold the departments they created to account.

1.6 billion rounds of ammunition.
7000 select fire rifles (yeah...real assault rifles).
2700 armored vehicles.
Body armor.

And don't need to tell members of congress why they are accumulating weaponry and their goal.  Why does DHS need military equipment? Isn't there already multiple military branches in this country? Is this the army Obama was talking about building some time back?

I've been asking myself that exact same question.  (The  Obama July 2008 speech at Colorado Springs).
