It was mentioned to me this evening by another member that it had been a little bit since the last shindig.
So how about Saturday, April 13, 2013 at the greasy bucket...err...Hi-Way Diner? Say, 0930?
Also, if you have not been able to donate any 22lr for the Boy Scouts, NE Bull should hopefully be there, and I am also willing to collect donations and get them to him if he is unable to attend.
Omaha crew...I PROMISE the next round will be a meet in the middle kind of thing, I need to get up that direction and scout locations around Ashland/Gretna. (if you're local and/or have a suggestion, please PM me and I'll look into it)
Suggestions, alternative locations?

Rock your Glock is that morning 8-noon
-
hmmm, that throws an empty mag in things don't it?
-
how about Sunday? it's my birthday, but I don't mind spending it with you guys.
-
I think I can do Sunday
-
I will be gone for awhile, but will be back in time for the `Pandemic`.
I hope several show up; I had a good time last month and feel it would have been worth the drive, even if I didn`t have other business that took me to Omaha.

Bump to the top, I know of one member who may be stopping in, anyone else?
-
Hey gsd , they canceled the RYG shoot...is the Vintage rifle still on?
-
As far as I know, Yes. I have not heard anything from WildGoose about it.
-
NFOA Board of Directors
The Vintage match is still on. The RYG has some problems with the amount of people and equipment need to be transported back and fourth on the 300 yard range to put on the match. With the recent rains it would do too much damage to the dirt work. This situation is scheduled to be dealt with as soon as more soil and top cover for the range road can be laid down. The weather these last two months has kept this from being done. We can work around the mud issues for the Vintage match but its just not possible for the RYG at this time.
-
All right...
so my weekend is scheduled nicely, Vintage match Saturday, breakfast sunday

Not sure if I can make it, but I'll try. My wife is hosting a baby shower in the afternoon so the dog and I have been banned from the house during that time frame. Apparently males (even neutered ones) are persona non grata. So at least I'll be out and around then.....
-
haha why cant you get banned to the basement so you can at least reload...kicked out of the house completely huh?
-
I will be there.
Got a nice donation check from the Ammo Auction to give to Dan W! ;D

Still waiting for the 'Boss' to come aboard Mr. Wusker ;)

Would like to have gone, but my sailboat, was calling to me, saying "Put me back together".
Mizzen mast is up, in the next few days, the main mast goes up.
We were the 2nd boat on the slip this year, beat out by one other boat, but we have not taken ours out yet, because we trailer ours home in the winter, the other boats cover theirs masts up, and leave them at the lake. More work setting up when everything has to be put back in place again.
We could have the next gun get together, sailing on Branched Oak.
One of only a few left, she was made in 1976, under the watchful eye of famous blue water yacht designer William Crealock. She is a Clipper Marine 32' aft cabin, center cockpit, Ketch. She will sleep 6, and day sail double that. She was built to race to outer islands around Southern California. I found her in a storage lot outside LA, CA a year ago, and imported her to Nebraska. She was the largest sailboat on Branched Oak lake for a few months, till someone with deep pockets, not wanting out done, imported a 33' sailboat from Texas. lol

Gary, my dad has a sailboat that he keeps at Cunningham lake in Omaha, he is always wanting me and my boys to come out and use it. So far my youngest is the only one that does.
It is a McGreggor, I don't think it is as long as yours somewhere in the mid 20s, but it has a good sized cabin and an outboard motor also.
If you ever set anything up, I would be interested in a sailing lesson. I work every other weekend so it would be hit or miss.
Looks like a fun hobby.
