Don't doubt it, 5.56 is rather accurate, but doesn't have much gusto at that distance.

A 300 meter round IMO.

Judging by the way the rounds dented the metal plate I wouldn't want to be hit by one at that distance.  It would certainly be lethal unless one was wearing armor.   And, who wears armor on the face?
