Title: Has Anyone reloaded for a Cetme - specifically for a Cetme?
Post by: Oleshome on May 07, 2013, 07:13:16 PM
I've inherited a Cetme that is pretty much brand new and runs well.  I'm thinking I'd like to reload for it as I do for all of my guns.  However, I've never loaded NATO 7.62x51. So, anyone have advice about/for NATO 7.62x51?  Reloading tips for a Cetme in particular?  I know it's basically though not exactly .308 and have read that Cetme's don't always eat commercial .308 well.  Thoughts?  Thanks in advance...

I know nothing of reloading for a Cetme.   Sorry  :(

I do know however that they have a "fluted chamber" that is not kind to the brass. So depending on the quality/thickness/load pressure/etc. you may not get many re-loads from your spent brass.

Googling Cetme reloading will get you some good hits.

Reloading is dicey.   Cartridges have built-in fracture lines; rifle works at high chamber pressures.    Should be milsurp ammo available.
