Title: June 2nd Precision Rimfire
Post by: DCPrecisionLLC on May 15, 2013, 07:27:27 PM
Course Description: Students will learn the basics of long range rifle shooting utilizing a rimfire weapon system out to a range of 300 yards. This course is specifically designed to accomplish two goals. The first goal is to establish a solid set of marksmanship fundamentals and a knowledge base for students to expand upon without having to spend a fortune on equipment and ammunition by experimenting on their own through a sort of trial and error technique. The second goal is to attract younger shooters out the ranks of the Boy Scouts and NRA silhouette programs. This course will extend the use of their equipment before moving up to centerfire rifles while at the same time introducing them to something a little more exciting and grooming them to be more advanced shooters. The course will last about 4 hours and cover the following subjects.

Safe rules of handling firearms
Basic Fundamentals of Marksmanship
Terms and definitions
Zero Theory
Ammunition requirements
Shooting Positions
Acceptable accuracy requirements
How to keep a data book
Introduction to Ballistic calculators
Introduction to reading wind / mirage
Introduction to spotting trace

The course fee is $75 and there are 3 slots open right now.
