Anybody up for scoping out some sweet deals?

We should be standing in front of the church, scoping out the little old ladies carrying their late husbands Weatherbys. "I'll give you $100.00 for that lady!"

This sounds like more "feel good" anti-gun crap from Nebraskas largest po-lice force.

I was thinking the same thing when I heard about this on the radio yesterday.

32nd and Lake?  No one should get within a half mile of that location unless they are well armed!

Why are they gonna destroy the ammo?  That's just silly.

While I'd be uncomfortable firing unknown ammo...

PD's these days are hurting for ammo... so this does seem a tad silly heh.

We should all take in any broken BB guns and other junk and then donate the proceeds to the NFOA.

I don't think it's a buy back, just an "amnesty."

Yep...says in the article "no compensation will be given for firearms".  Even better for bargain hunters, just offer $50 instead of $100.  Just be careful, you don't want to pick up a bargain that's stolen or has been used in a crime.

This is insane. I didn't think the growing police state would get a foot into Nebraska like this so fast. And silently.   I had no idea or I would have made it there today. Did anyone on here go?

This has been going on for several years

True but they have these and buy backs (how do they buy back what wasn't theirs?) for years.  Obviously it has worked real well.  I mean when is the last time you heard of a shooting in Omaha  ;)

It is more feel good BS that will accomplish nothing measureable in crime reduction.  These programs allow the sheeple  to disarm themselves. Then crime will rise because there are less armed sheeple.   Then because of higher crime the call from the sheeple will get louder for more gun control.....it's an endless death spiral into hell.  I saw it first hand in California.
The buy backs are even worse.  Thug steals gun and uses it in a crime.  Sells the gun off to the cops and makes some extra $ for his crime and releases himself of the evidence.  Thug goes out and steals another gun and repeats the process.

A total of 17 guns, most of them likely unserviceable, and 3 buckets of assorted ammo.  Obviously a great success!  I wonder how that compares to the number of guns sold by Cabela's, Bass Pro, Guns Unlimited, and Scheels over the weekend.

Now they'll all join hands in a circle, and sing "Kumbaya".

And the gangbangers will still be busy killing each other while claiming "he was just a child".
