That looks like it was taken at nebraska shooters.

From the book  of Nehemiah 1:9
Quote
When our enemies learned that it had become known to us, since God had thus frustrated their plan, we could all return to the wall, each to his work. From that day on, half my servants did work and half held lances and shields, bows and armor.

So, even then it was "Praise the Lord and pass the ammunition!"

That was taken at Nebraska Shooters.  My wife's friend took the class and had the pic taken.  I think the appropriate caption is: "Prayer is the best way to meet the Lord.  Messing with Catholics is faster".

As much as I love this pic, it is also a very solemn reminder of the sad state of potential violence in our nation.  When men and women "of the cloth" feel it necessary to learn to shoot and possibly keep arms for defense,  we REALLY need to take a hard look at where we, as a society, took a wrong turn.

After the initial laugh over the photo's content, I began to take a more critical look at it.  Why is that guy (yellow hat and light blue shirt) on the left (RO?) forward of the firing line?  MORE importantly, why is your wife's friend forward of the shooting line?

Not trying to bash anyone, just being "Mr. OCD/Safety".

And not everyone is at Low Ready.
I tried to make it OK in my mind by calling it a Pause for Photo Op moment. ?

I would say not to overthink it.  It is just a cool picture but I concede your points are valid.  However, we weren't there. Just don't mess with the nuns.  Also, our societal breakdown has been sad for a long time, as I am sure we all realize.  I am just glad we still have the 2A.  Still, it is just a funny pic.

Yes...funny photo.  I should just stop there.  Just can't help analyzing and picking things apart. I guess that is why I have the job that I have.   ;D

Thanks for the chuckle gig.

Evil and danger have long been with us.The Rule of St. Benedict was written in the sixth century and provides guidelines for monastic life. It expects the monks will be armed.
