This isn't good. Looks to me like there should be criminal charges for both sides of this altercation.

I think it needs more investigation.  Revolver found, shots fired from it found in the car drivers house, neighbor stated that "they just started shooting, they weren't very good shots,"  He was at home.  They were attacking him.

Now.  Number one the child's family should have left it alone and let the Cops handle it.  Number two, the mother should have never threatened the driver of the car.  Number three, the driver of the car should have stayed in the house and called the cops, then if they entered the house he would have had more legal standing.

That's what I was thinking too.  It always makes me suspicious when the victim has a "courtesy photo" provided by the authorities.  That doesn't mean his death was warranted, but it kind of makes you think that maybe he had a propensity for getting into trouble.

Every 8 year old in the city was playing in the streets at 10pm.

I carry a gun because a cop is too heavy.  I carry a lot of ammo because I cant run very fast.

After reading more about this it sounds like everyone involved was a fine, upstanding individual.

The mom was not helping by escalating the situation and saying he had a price on his head.  Guys being guys, can easily get worked up even faster in a situation where their child was hurt, or when their significant other has heightened emotions.  This guy had both against him.

You defend your child by rounding up your posse and going after the guy that you think hit your child?

It would be so much more productive to just teach your kids to .... ummm .... "Get out the street!"

Ummm ..... er ..... well,  then one or two getting run over is pretty predictable, then isn't it?  Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

Mr. Sweets-Robinson is not blameless, either: Brandishing an AK and saying, "Bring it!" was a pretty stupid move, as well.  He'll get a prize as well, I'm sure.
The Right to Keep and BEAR Arms is enshrined explicitly in both our State and Federal Constitutions, yet most of us are afraid to actually excercise that Right, for very good reason: there is a good chance of being arrested........ and  THAT is a damned shame.  III.
