Pics from our trip to the Million Vet March
« on: October 14, 2013, 08:52:24 PM »
I am on the left.

From the Lincoln Memorial.

She was the lone "guard" at the Korean Memorial. She welcomed us to re-open it and asked to take pictures with veterans. She was pretty cool, lol.

Sarah Palin posing with a MC of veterans from Pennsylvania. Very cool dudes.

Panoramic view right after we opened the WWII Memorial.

My friends saw me on Good Morning America this morning.

I can't imagine the atmosphere if there would have been a million people, but there were just enough folks there. I ran into the same people several times and it started to feel like we were all friends. This trip was such an experience, I still haven't been able to find the words to begin to explain it. I really felt like I was a part of something special. I was also glad to spend the time with two friends that I haven't seen much lately. We were gone 68 hours and drove 2522 miles for an average of 38.5 miles an hour for the whole time we were gone. Can you say marathon trip, lol?
