Nice to see that they will stand for what they believe.

Magpul has been planning on doing this awhile, they still havnt decided on where in texas they are moving to,
But texas is really pushing gun companies to move there,

More informative article....

Magpul officials plan to split up the company’s corporate and manufacturing arms, both of which are now located in Erie, Colo. The corporate headquarters will relocate to Texas, and a site-selection committee has narrowed the final destination to three locations in the state’s north-central region.

Meanwhile, Magpul’s manufacturing and distribution facility will move about 80 miles north to Cheyenne, Wyo. Company officials say they plan to lease a 58,000-square-foot building for two to three years while they construct a 100,000-square-foot custom facility in the Cheyenne Business Parkway.

Good for Magpul.
Now Colorado can tax their weed industry to make up the difference.

Once Colorado gets their Pot Tax all setup and the prices rise like health care, the black market will open back up, the street dealers will just undercut the States price, and away we go...

I am impressed that Magpul is following through with their commitment to leave the state. I honestly was starting to think they were just blowing hot air.

Good for them!!!

I am sure that a move like that takes a wee bit of planning to pull off successfully.

I wish Nebraska would do this, put a plant between Omaha and Lincoln, thats a lot of possible employees in this wonderful state, plus there, you don't have Omaha taxes.....

You'd still have high Nebraska state taxes.  It's hard to convince manufacturers to relocate here.

but you also have low cost of living (low salaries)
not a union crazy state
and some places (omaha oldmill) will consider  entire sections of town blighted to lower your taxes to build a large new building for a business

I'm glad they're really doing it.
